The channel Colors challenged the government's decision, announced yesterday, to restrict the airing of "adult shows" like Bigg boss between the hours of 11 pm and 5 am and has won a reprieve - the show will not have to move to 11 pm for now.
Colors moved the Bombay High Court this morning. It said, "No date has been mentioned as to when the show was against good taste and decency." The channel also said that its content cannot be described as obscene.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said it had received many complaints from viewers about abusive and vulgar language. News channels have been told they cannot show any excerpts from these shows.
Last night, Colors did not delay the airing of Bigg Boss which has US celebrity Pamela Anderson participating on the show for three days.
