Shahrukh Khan won the Filmfare Best Actor award for his performance in My Name Is Khan and Rekha announced announced the name of Shahrukh for the best actorby beating other contenders like Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor.
Salman Khan, whose film Dabangg was one of the biggest grossers of 2010, was no doubt a hot contender for the coveted award but Shahrukh came out triumphant at the end.
Salman Khan has to wait for another year as Shahrukh has taken his filmfare tally of best actor for the eight times with this.
The 56th Idea Filmfare Awards was held on January 29 at Yash Raj Films Studio and was hosted by Bollywood's most promising stars Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan. Kajol won the Filmfare Award for the Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) for her role in My Name Is Khan and Salman's film Dabangg was adjusted the Best Film.
