Madhur Bhandarkar is spilt for choice: Priyanka or Vidya?

Madhur Bhandarkar is known for making realistic films. After Aishwarya Rai left his project ‘Heroine’ with a doomed fate, Bhandarkar roped in Kareena Kapoor and continued with the project with added zeal.

He has already made up his mind for his next venture which would be a a political thriller, based upon the politics in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Madhur is in talks with UTV Motion Pictures and Eros International for his project and both the corporate houses have shown a lot of interest in it.

As for the leading lady, Madhur is in two minds whether to rope in Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra to play the politician’s role. The role is that of a woman who hails from northern India as a vulnerable lady who gradually transforms into a bold and conniving woman who fits well in the political world.

Though Vidya Balan would suit the role of the mature politician and her acting skills would also do justice to this challenging role, Bhandarkar also has a bent for Priyanka Chopra owing to the professional rapport he developed with her during the shoot of ‘Fashion’.

Meanwhile the Bombay High Court has rejected Madhur’s application to stay the process against him in the Pretti Jaiin rape case. Madhur says, “I have full faith in the Indian judiciary and our legal system.

Honorable Justice RC Chavan of The Bombay High Court has directed that the case will now continue in the lower court. And we respect the Court’s stance.”
