With daughter Kareena's wedding around the corner, father Randhir Kapoor is a happy man. He took time out of wedding preparations to speak to TOI.
When asked "Will Kareena be converting like Sharmila did when she married Pataudi?", he replied "Nobody is converting here — one human being is getting married to another, so they are not concerned about caste, creed or breed. They are going in for a registered marriage, and as long as they are happy, they have my blessings. They want to follow what they believe in. I am not marrying off a 19-year-old here."
So there you have it folks. From the mouth of one person who will definitely be aware of what is going on in Kareena's mind- her father. Unlike other old-fashioned dads who insist on things being done their way, Randhir Kapoor has accepted the private wedding by telling Times of India, "We have to respect the sentiment of the couple who are marrying."
Saif may have had trouble with his girl's angry dad in his movies but he sure has landed a good guy as his real life father-in-law.
