Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao were in London last week to finalise some marketing deals for his forthcoming film Peepli Live. During his five-day stay in London, Aamir Khan met Anil Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan, Parmeshwar Godrej, Ronnie Screwvala and Akshay Kumar who were also in London. But Aamir Khan didn't meet Shah Rukh Khan Khan who too was in London at the same time.
A source says, "Aamir was in London on Tuesday. They left on Saturday night. During his stay, Aamir met as many friends as he could. He has never done this before. You could say that he has no time to socialise or that he simply does not socialise. He has never met so many people, that too within a week. However, this trip was different."
According to the source, on the first night, Aamir Khan met Anil Kapoor for dinner. The next day he met Parmeshwar Godrej for lunch and the following day he went to an Italian restaurant for dinner with Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. It was Amitabh Bachchan who wanted to take the couple out for dinner. Aamir Khan also met Ronnie Screwvala with whom he has worked on many films.
On Saturday night, Aamir Khan boarded the same flight as Akshay Kumar who too was on his way to Mumbai. "Akshay and Aamir spoke about Bollywood, and also bonded over their kids and their education and discussed why they decided to star in certain films," says the source.
The source adds, "Considering that he met so many of his friends from the film industry, Aamir was definitely aware that SRK was also in London. But he didn't meet SRK for reasons best known to him.
