Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai has been shown attempting to smoke in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film ‘Guzaarish’ , is a hot topic of debate . In the particular scene, Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik are sitting in a car and Aishwarya Rai is trying to smoke.
As per co-producer of ‘Guzaarish’ Siddharth Roy Kapoor, the scene is not worth so much controversy as in the scene she’s being shown making fun of the smoking and not promoting it in any way.
“It’s a non-issue for us. Technically, Ash is not really smoking in the scene. It’s a funny scene where she is trying to smoke. It’s a lighthearted and cute sequence that doesn’t propagate smoking at all. In fact, we are making fun of smoking,” said Kapoor, in his attempt to clear some controversy around the scene.
When Aishwarya Rai was contacted to comment on this, she replied, "You saw what happened to me when I attempted smoking in the scene. I coughed and had tears in my eyes."
Meanwhile, this is not the first scene in a film where an actress has been shown smoking for some or other reasons.
Rani Mukherji was seen litting up in ‘Bichoo’, Kareena did it in ‘Chameli’, Manisha Koirala in ‘Company’, and most recent examples Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut in ‘Fashion'.
