India's first 3D film Shirish Kunder's Joker

Shirish Kunder directing the Hindi remake of south super hit Kick with Salman Khan. He also decided to turn his Joker into a 3D flick.

source informs, “Joker will be a big budgeted film in 3D. For the first time a top star like Akshay Kumar will be working in a 3D film. After the success of Avatar, Shirish saw ample of scope to play with visuals in Joker.

That’s why he decided to make the film in 3D. When Kunder suggested this to Akshay, he also loved it and they started working on the pre-production of the film.”

Apparently, there is another reason why Kunder is so excited about Joker; its script was the first one Kunder had ever written. In fact, he wanted to make the film even before Jaan-E-Mann but it didn’t work out.

So he attempted at making it after the release of Jaan-E-Mann but even that failed. Only when Akshay signed the film did things start falling into place.”

When contacted, Kunder confirmed the news but refused to divulge any information about it, “Yes, we are making Joker in 3D and work is in progress.

Apparently, James Cameron’s Avatar inspired Kunder to make his film in 3D.
