Aishwarya Rai may sue Elle

Aishwarya Rai recently posed for the cover of the famous fashion magazine Elle. When the fashion magazine came on the stands, the actress and her fans were shocked to see Ash's skin tone made lighter.



This cover is kicking up a controversy after fans cried "Racism!". The actress, confirming that she noticed a difference in the skin tone of her picture, expressed that she was shocked about the tweaking.

Aishwarya added that she will sue the magazine if it is confirmed that they had lightened her skin. The September issue of Elle too was controversial after featuring a photograph of African-American actress Gabourey Sidibe with her skin tone made lighter.

The magazine had reacted at that time that they had not lightened the actress's skin colour any more than for white models.
