Imran Khan and Avantika Malik are getting married this month (January 10). Both turned to Karan Johar to help them plan their wedding functions. The director was more than happy to help the couple.
First on the list was bridal trousseau. Karan asked Manish Malhotra and Varun Bahl to design clothes for the couple. Sources say, “He was very specific with the detailing. He told Avantika the kind of colours she should wear. He’s asked Manish to design a burnt orange lehenga for her. Apart from clothes, he also chose accessories like the green maang ka tikka.”
Imran was in Chandigarh, far from the wedding preparations. Karan called up Imran to discuss the functions and assured him that everything was running smoothly. Next he mailed the sketches of the outfits to Imran.
Imran says, “Karan has been more than helpful. He has been a mentor and a friend to Avantika. He’s helped us immensely and sorted our lives. I didn’t have time to plan but he really helped Avantika in all the planning.”
