Performing to a lavani number in upcoming film Ferrari Ki Sawaari seems to have made Vidya Balan a fan of Marathi culture and the actress, who won accolades for her roles in films like The Dirty Picture and Kahaani now wants to try her hand at Marathi cinema, sources claim.
At a recent event, the 'Dirty' actress was quoted saying, "I would love to do Marathi films as I like their choice of subjects." Reportedly, Balan was quite fascinated with Marathi folk dances and had approached a number of filmmakers asking them to consider her in their films for a lavani number till her wish was finally fulfilled when Vidhu Vinod Chopra roped her in for the mala jau de song in Ferrari Ki Sawaari.
Vidya Balan will be next seen opposite Emraan Hashmi in Ghanchakkar.
