The screening of Hrithik Roshan’s Kites has been discontinued in Tamil Nadu, following objections by director Seeman’s Pro-Tamil outfit Nam Tamizhar'.
A Nam Tamizhar' spokesman said: “We condemn Hrithik Roshan’s participation in IIFA awards in Sri Lanka, where innocent Tamils were killed. Those actors who take part in the festival will lose their TN market, as we will see that their films are not screened.”
On Friday morning, the pro Tamil outfit had marched to PVR Multiplex in Aminjikarai and requested the management not to play Kites, which they agreed. Later three other theatres which were to screen the film pulled it out.
