Salman Khan might not get off Twitter

Salman Khan has apologised for his remarks on the 26/11 attack and insists that they were "twisted" and he did not mean to "hurt anybody's sentiments". "The interview has been twisted. I saw it myself, the way it is coming across on TV, it is sounding insensitive. I was just saying life is equal for both rich and poor, some attacks get more media coverage and some don't. Why is that? Every human life is important," Salman, 44, told Aaj Tak news channel.

Other Hand Salman Khan might not get off Twitter as has been widely reported. Sources close to the star say that, “Salman has just stopped tweeting for the time being.”

“Bhai does not want to tweet now, and has made no mention of deleting his account. He’s extremely upset with what has happened recently. He’s not able to enjoy the success of his film as the controversy has ruinedit for him!”says a family member of the star.

Ever since, Salman has stopped tweeting, his mail-box and account is filled with messages from his fans urging him not to stop tweeting. His close aides say that Salman might not go off but become irregular now with his tweets.

“We are not in a favour of him deleting his account because that would mean rolling down a red carpet for the impostors. We have told Bhai that Twitter is a great tool to interact with his fans directly, and he should not think of deleting his account. He can think of not tweeting for the time being, but we have told him not to delete his account at any cost,” adds the family member.
