Today's big Hollywood release: The Expendables 2

The sequel to the 2010 action movie The Expendables releases in India today. The film revolves around the mercenary group The Expendables who are on a revenge mission against rival mercenary Jean Vilain who murdered one of their group members and threatens the world with a deadly weapon.

Usual suspects Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren and Arnold Schwarzenegger are joined in this outing by Liam Hemsworth and Yu Nan. During an interview, Arnold Schwarzenegger said that he is happy to be back for the sequel and the movie gave him a welcome break from politics.

"I was happy that I was asked to get in the bag. For me it was really interesting because one day you are making policy and you're stimulated in how you fix the budget problem of the state and about the maze of educational issues and all those things. Then the next day you are on the set having a shootout from with Sly and other guys," the actor and former Governor of California said.

The actors say that the movie is dedicated to the stuntman who died on the sets while shooting for the film. "The stunt team took it very, very hard and shut down for quite a while. It's happened twice before on films I've been on and it's never easy," Sylvester Stallone had said in a recent interview.

The film directed by Tony Gilroy was released in US on August 17, 2012 and reportedly has earned over 28 million dollars in its opening weekend.
