Cancer-stricken Michael Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones are planning to renew their wedding vows in November.
The ceremony to mark their 10th wedding anniversary will be followed by a lavish party at New York’s Plaza Hotel where they married in 2000.
“Michael is very weak with his chemotherapy and radiation treatment, but this is something he is determined to do. He was in tears when Catherine suggested they take their vows again and sees it as a wonderful expression of their love,” the Daily Express quoted a friend as saying.
The friend further praised the star by saying that Mike’s a fighter and he has promised himself to be strong for their second big day.
Douglas, 65, is also energetically set for New York premiere of his long-awaiting sequel as banker Gordon Gekko in ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’.
