Malayalam film BODYGUARD is being remade in Hindi with Salman Khan in the lead and to star opposite him, producer Atul Agnihotri has chosen Kareena Kapoor. The film titled MY LOVE STORY will be directed by Siddiqui
Earlier, the producer had approached Katrina Kaif with the role, but she refused the film as she didn't have dates matching the scheduled release of the film on Eid next year.
The film's protagonist is a young man with a strange proclivity - He always wants to emulate anyone he admires. He doesn't care what his hero does - he could be a cop or a crook. Also, when he starts admiring someone he wants to be close to the person, act as his bodyguard!
The film's producer, Atul Agnihotri, had earlier approached Salman and Kareena have earlier been paired in KYON KI (2005) and MAIN AURR MRS KHANNA (2009). Both the films didn't do well at the Box Office.
The film will go on the floors this December.
