Robert Pattinson Says Goodbye To Twilight

Robert Pattinson has finally bid a bittersweet goodbye to the Twilight franchise with a movie that’s taking him to a whole new direction – “Cosmopolis.”

So goodbye messy auburn curls, goodbye pasty pallor, goodbye carelessly worn designer duds. Here is a whole new Robert Pattinson in a still from his new movie, taken and posted on Twitter by director David Cronenberg’s daughter Caitlin:

Robert Pattinson plays a high flying banker (as you can see from his neatly swept back hair, closely-shaven jawline and executive get-up), Eric Packer, whose world unravels around him on his way to get a haircut in New York City. Pretty intriguing, huh? Especially intriguing is this patrician blonde sitting next to him in a taxi, whom celebrity gossip websites learned is Sarah Gadon, who plays opposite him as Elise.

There isn’t much written about the storyline of “Cosmopolis” except that it’s based on a novel of the same name by Don DeLillo, and that Colin Farrel (who plays a vampire in the soon to be released “Fright Night”) had originally signed on to play  millionaire Eric Packer, but left due to scheduling difficulties. And now R-Pat (who also played a vampire in “Twilight”) has now been cast as the lead.
